Cookie policy
This policy explains how mirror-routecore.digital uses cookies and similar storage. It complements the privacy notice. Last updated 13 August 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Related technologies include localStorage, which this site uses to remember your cookie choice. They can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another domain, such as a font or image host).
Types we use
Essential. Needed to load pages, remember that you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, and keep basic security. These run whether you accept or reject analytics.
Analytics (optional). Used only if you press Accept on the banner. They help us see which journal posts and course pages are read. Rejecting them does not block programmes, forms, or navigation.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| mirror-routecore_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject for non-essential cookies so the banner does not return on every visit. | Until you clear site storage or choose again (localStorage) | Mirror Routecore (first party) |
| mr_session_hint | Optional load-balancing or cache hint if the host enables it; not used to profile you. | Session / up to 24 hours | Hosting provider for mirror-routecore.digital |
| mr_read_insight | Analytics cookie counting which course and journal URLs are opened, without advertising profiles. | 6 months (set only after Accept) | Mirror Routecore (first party) |
| fonts.gstatic.com / fonts.googleapis.com | May set technical cookies or cache fonts when loading Cormorant Garamond and Outfit. | Per Google Fonts policy | Google Fonts (third party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Both are always visible; rejecting does not reduce site functionality. You can also clear cookies and localStorage in your browser settings, or use the browser’s site-data controls for mirror-routecore.digital. Blocking all cookies may stop the banner from remembering your choice, so it may appear again.
Most desktop browsers include a “block third-party cookies” setting. That will limit font-host cookies but may also change how embedded images from public CDNs are cached.
Third-party cookies
We load fonts from Google Fonts and images from public sources such as Unsplash and Pexels. Those providers may receive your IP address and set their own cookies according to their policies. We do not control those cookies. We do not run advertising networks on this site.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics only means we will not set mr_read_insight. Pages, forms, and courses still work. Disabling all storage may cause the consent banner to reappear and may affect font caching. It will not enrol or unenrol you from a programme.
